The response this fledgling mag has received from the speculative fiction crowd exceeds expectation. We have five very fine tales committed to Issue 1 (with room to grow), and several talented artists are busy illustrating those stories and our inaugural cover. We’ve selected our typeset, determined our design, and blocked off time in December and January for copyediting and layout. All told, we’re even a tad ahead of schedule for our anticipated mid-February launch. If you’re curious about who’s made our Issue 1 Table of Contents so far, you can scan our Facebook page or follow us on Twitter.
Meanwhile submissions for Issue 2 pour in — a rather unlikely number, in fact, for a press that didn’t exist a month ago. How nice to be startled with a brimming inbox. We’ve accepted one story so far — the kind of tale an editor recognizes four lines in as a keeper and pounces on. There’s also a growing shortlist, but there’s room for more voices, more styles, and more speculative prose. Keep them coming, scribes.
