Here be diseases literal and metaphorical, mental and physical, some of which are lodged in a human system while others are lodged in systems on a grander scale. Some are speculative diseases that will raise more questions than they answer. Some are thought to be diseases only by those who are observing, not experiencing, an altered state. Find them in homespun mountain communities, urban Malaysia, post-nuclear deserts, secondary worlds populated by fallen heroes, and golden Grecian rivers.
